"I am proud of my team whose combined efforts have allowed us to bring over 12,000 new members into the Ontario Liberal Party. Our result is thanks to the hundreds of dedicated volunteers who worked week in and week out to inspire everyday people that better is possible,” said Shamji.

“Now that this phase is over, we look forward to earning second ballot support and convincing undecided members before the vote in November,” he added.

“Our recruitment approach was to focus on ideas and issues that are top of mind for Ontarians,” said Campaign Manager, Patrick Smith. “Adil’s unique strengths in healthcare, education, and housing, along with a campaign built for all of us, resonated with voters,” he concluded.

Shamji is looking forward to participating in the upcoming debates, meeting even more Ontario Liberals, and getting out the vote in November.
