If we’re going to rebuild the Ontario Liberal Party and prevail in 2026, then doing politics differently has to be more than just a slogan: we have to actually do it. Words like integrity, renewal and inclusion must serve a higher purpose than forming punchlines in stump speeches.
So while some leadership candidates are busy arguing about left versus right and age versus experience, these squabbles only reinforce the public’s frustration that politicians are too caught up in posturing instead of focusing on issues that matter. These arguments are a barrier to progress and, worse, present a false choice altogether. We need generational change and we need experience. Ontarians don’t care about left or right — they care about taking care of their families and giving their children a better life than they enjoyed.
